Latitude60 Ltd is the controller responsible for the personal information described in this notice.
Our details are:
Latitude60 Ltd
Company number 14841042
128 City Road

You can contact us about privacy and data protection through our Contacting Us About This Website page or by writing to our registered office. Please identify your message as a data-protection enquiry.
2. What this notice covers
This notice applies to personal information processed by Latitude60 Ltd in connection with:
- the Here4Insurance website;
- website sessions, navigation and security;
- referrals to quotation providers;
- advertising measurement;
- enquiries submitted to us; and
- our insurance reminder service.
When you leave Here4Insurance and use a third-party quotation or insurance service, that business will normally be responsible for the information it collects from you.
3. Information collected when you use the website
When you use Here4Insurance, we may collect:
- your IP address;
- the date and time of a request;
- the pages and resources requested;
- referring-page information;
- browser, device and operating-system information;
- error, diagnostic and security information;
- a first-party session identifier;
- information about the page or insurance product you are viewing;
- information required to process a quotation-link request; and
- an advertising click identifier where you arrived through a relevant advert.
This information may constitute personal data even though it does not directly reveal your name.
4. The here4sessID cookie and server-side session
We use a first-party cookie called here4sessID.
The cookie contains a session identifier. It enables our server to recognise requests that form part of the same website session and is needed for functions including:
- maintaining navigation and session state;
- presenting the appropriate insurance or quotation link;
- processing requested quotation-link actions;
- preventing invalid or duplicate requests;
- supporting website security; and
- ensuring that the website functions correctly.
The here4sessID cookie may remain on your device for up to 30 days.
The cookie does not contain your name, email address or telephone number. It acts as a key through which our server can retrieve the relevant session record.
Where you have allowed advertising measurement, the server-side session record may also be associated with an advertising click identifier. We do not make that association for advertising measurement until you have given permission.
5. Advertising click identifiers
Advertising platforms may add identifiers to the address of the page you visit after you select an advert. These may include:
- a Google Click ID, commonly known as a
GCLID, or a similar Google identifier; - a Microsoft Click ID, commonly known as an
MSCLKID; and - a Meta advertising click identifier, including an identifier associated with a Meta or Facebook advert.
These identifiers enable an advertising platform to recognise which advert or campaign led to a conversion. They do not ordinarily contain your name or contact details, but they may still be personal data or an online identifier.
6. How advertising measurement works
We advertise Here4Insurance through Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising and Meta Ads.
When you follow an advert to our website, the advertising platform may add a unique advertising click identifier to the address of the page you visit. Examples include a Google Click ID, a Microsoft Click ID and a Meta advertising click identifier.
With your permission, we may associate that identifier with your Here4Insurance website session and retain it on our systems for up to 30 days.
If you subsequently select a quotation link that we count as a conversion, we may send the identifier and limited conversion information, such as the conversion type and time, to the platform that provided the advert.
We do not send your name, email address, telephone number, postal address or end-user IP address to Google, Microsoft or Meta through this advertising-measurement process. When you enter that information on a quote form, you are giving it to our partner, who does not share the information with us.
You may reject advertising measurement and continue to use the website and quotation links.
Our advertising-measurement process operates as follows:
- You follow an advert from Google, Microsoft or Meta.
- The platform adds an advertising click identifier to the landing-page address.
- We retain the identifier for up to 30 days.
- If you select a quotation link that we classify as a conversion, we send the identifier and limited conversion information to the platform that supplied it.
- We delete the identifier from our systems when it is no longer required and in any event within 30 days.
7. Information sent to advertising platforms
Depending on the platform and conversion configuration, the information sent may include:
- the advertising click identifier;
- the conversion action or conversion type;
- the date and time of the conversion;
- a campaign or account-related conversion reference; and
- a conversion value and currency where one has been configured.
We do not send through this process:
- your name;
- your postal address;
- your email address;
- your telephone number;
- your insurance application answers;
- information entered on a quotation provider’s website; or
- your end-user IP address.
We do not use this process for enhanced conversions based on email addresses or telephone numbers. In fact, we do not have the above personal information, and it is not shared with us by our partners.
We also do not use the information described here to make decisions about whether you qualify for insurance or what premium you should pay because quote eligibility and pricing are handled by the third-party quotation provider, not on this website.
8. The advertising platforms
Where you permit measurement relating to a Google advert, Google may receive the Google advertising click identifier and limited conversion information.
Google processes that information under its own terms and privacy information.
Please read How Google uses data from businesses that use its services
Microsoft
Where you permit measurement relating to a Microsoft advert, Microsoft may receive the Microsoft advertising click identifier and limited conversion information.
Please read the Microsoft Privacy Statement for information about Microsoft’s processing.
Meta
Where you permit measurement relating to a Meta advert, Meta may receive the relevant Meta advertising click identifier and limited conversion information.
Please read the Meta Privacy Policy for information about Meta’s processing.
9. Our lawful bases
Operating and securing the website
We process session, IP address and technical information to:
- provide website pages and functions;
- maintain a consistent session;
- process quotation-link requests;
- diagnose faults;
- secure the website; and
- prevent misuse.
Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in operating a reliable and secure website and, where applicable, taking steps in response to a service you request.
The essential operation of the here4sessID cookie does not depend on advertising-measurement consent.
Advertising measurement
We process advertising click identifiers for advertising measurement only with your consent.
This consent applies to the use of the identifier to measure referrals from Google, Microsoft and Meta as described in this notice. It does not authorise an unrelated use such as remarketing, audience profiling or the use of your contact details for advertising matching.
You may refuse or withdraw consent without affecting access to the website or quotation links.
Referring you to quotation providers
When you select a quotation link, we use information about the relevant page, product and session to send you to the selected provider and record that the link was selected.
Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in operating our referral service and taking steps in response to your request.
Responding to enquiries
We use your contact details and the contents of your message to respond to enquiries and administer correspondence.
Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in communicating with website visitors and dealing with requests.
Providing insurance reminders
Where you use the insurance reminder service, we may collect:
- your first and last name;
- your email address;
- the insurance product or products selected;
- the relevant renewal month; and
- a renewal day, where you provide one.
We use this information to provide the reminder service you request and administer your reminders.
Our lawful basis is that the processing is necessary to provide the requested service or take steps at your request.
We do not use insurance reminder details for unrelated promotional marketing unless we have provided the necessary information and obtained any consent required by law.
Legal and regulatory purposes
We may process information where necessary to:
- comply with a legal obligation;
- respond to a lawful request from a court, regulator or public authority;
- establish, exercise or defend legal claims; or
- protect our legal rights or those of another person.
Our lawful basis will be compliance with a legal obligation or our legitimate interest in protecting legal rights.
10. Information submitted on third-party websites
Here4Insurance directs visitors to quotation services operated by independent insurance providers, brokers and comparison services.
Unless a page clearly states otherwise, information you enter after being transferred to a provider – including your name, address, date of birth, vehicle information, medical information, claims history or payment information – is collected directly by that provider and is not stored by Here4Insurance.
You should read the provider’s privacy information before submitting an application or requesting a quotation.
11. Who we share information with
We may disclose information to the following recipients.
Google, Microsoft and Meta
Where advertising measurement has been permitted and a reportable conversion occurs, the relevant advertising platform receives the click identifier and limited conversion information described above.
Quotation and insurance providers
When you choose to visit a provider, we pass or use the information required to direct you to the appropriate service.
The provider will normally collect any subsequent quotation or application information directly.
Hosting and IT providers
Businesses that provide hosting, website maintenance, cybersecurity, email delivery, backup or technical-support services may process limited information on our behalf.
They may use the information only to provide the contracted services, subject to appropriate obligations.
Professional advisers and authorities
We may disclose information to our professional advisers, insurers, courts, regulators, law-enforcement bodies or public authorities where reasonably necessary or legally required.
Business transfers
If Latitude60 Ltd or part of its business is sold, reorganised or transferred, relevant information may be disclosed to a prospective purchaser and transferred as part of the transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards.
12. International transfers
Google, Microsoft, Meta and some of our technology providers may process information outside the United Kingdom.
Where Latitude60 Ltd is responsible for a restricted international transfer, we use an appropriate legal safeguard. This may include:
- transfer to a country covered by UK adequacy regulations;
- the UK International Data Transfer Agreement;
- the UK Addendum to approved standard contractual clauses;
- participation in an applicable recognised data-transfer framework; or
- another lawful transfer mechanism.
You may contact us for more information about the safeguards applying to a particular transfer.
13. How long we keep information
We use the following retention periods or criteria:
| Information | Retention |
|---|---|
here4sessID cookie | Up to 30 days |
| Server-side advertising click identifier | Up to 30 days |
| Server-side website IP address record | Up to 30 days |
| Advertising conversion record held by Here4Insurance | Up to 30 days |
| Advertising-measurement consent record | Up to six months, or until replaced by a later choice |
| General contact enquiry | Normally up to 12 months after the matter is closed |
| Insurance reminder details | While the requested reminder service remains active, or until you cancel or ask us to delete them |
| Information required for legal or regulatory purposes | For the period required by law or reasonably necessary for a legal claim |
Information may remain in protected backups for a limited period before being overwritten in accordance with our backup cycle.
We may retain information for longer where this is necessary for legal proceedings, an investigation or compliance with a legal obligation.
14. Withdrawing consent
You may change or withdraw your advertising-measurement permission at any time through the Privacy choices link in the website footer.
Withdrawal will:
- prevent future advertising click identifiers from being retained for measurement;
- prevent a retained identifier from being used for a future conversion upload where it has not already been reported; and
- result in deletion of any remaining identifier when it is no longer required.
Withdrawal does not affect processing lawfully completed before consent was withdrawn. It cannot reverse a conversion report already sent to an advertising platform.
15. Your data-protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to:
- be informed about our use of your personal data;
- obtain a copy of personal data we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- request deletion of information;
- request restriction of processing;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests;
- withdraw consent;
- receive certain information in a portable format; and
- complain about our processing.
These rights are subject to legal conditions and exemptions.
Right to object
You have the right to object to processing based on our legitimate interests.
If you object, we will stop the relevant processing unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing is required for legal claims.
16. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, loss, disclosure or destruction.
No online system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should not send unnecessary sensitive information through a general website contact form.
17. Automated decision-making
Latitude60 Ltd does not use the information described in this notice to make automated decisions about:
- your eligibility for insurance;
- whether an insurance policy will be offered;
- the price of an insurance policy; or
- the terms of insurance cover.
A third-party quotation provider may use automated systems as part of its own service. Its privacy notice should explain that processing.
18. Complaints
Please submit a privacy or data-protection complaint through our Contacting Us About This Website page or write to our registered office.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. We would appreciate the opportunity to consider your concern first, but you are not required to contact us before approaching the ICO.
19. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice when our services, technology, advertising arrangements or legal obligations change.
The date at the top identifies the latest version. We will provide a more prominent notification where a change is likely to have a significant effect on individuals.
