1. About this policy
This policy explains the cookies and related technologies used on the Here4Insurance website.
Here4Insurance is a trading style of Latitude60 Ltd.
Our Privacy Notice contains more information about our handling of personal data, including advertising click identifiers and server-side website records.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small pieces of information stored by a website in your browser or device.
They can be used to:
- maintain a website session;
- provide requested functions;
- remember selections;
- support security;
- serve the correct version of a page;
- remember privacy choices; and
- support measurement and analytics.
A cookie stored in your browser may contain data itself or may contain an identifier that allows a server to retrieve a corresponding record.
3. Essential and optional purposes
We use first-party cookies that are necessary to operate the website.
These cookies support functions including:
- maintaining website sessions;
- navigation;
- processing quotation-link requests;
- security;
- caching; and
- remembering privacy choices.
We do not ask for consent for their strictly necessary uses.
We also provide an optional Advertising measurement function. With your permission, this allows us to associate an advertising click identifier with your website session and report a subsequent quotation-link conversion to Google, Microsoft or Meta.
The essential session cookie remains available whether advertising measurement is allowed or rejected.
4. Cookies used on this website
here4sessID
Provider: Here4Insurance / Latitude60 Ltd
Type: First-party essential cookie
Duration: Up to seven days
This cookie contains a session identifier that enables our server to recognise requests forming part of the same website session.
It is used to:
- maintain navigation and session state;
- remember information needed to provide requested website functions;
- process quotation-link requests;
- prevent invalid or duplicate requests;
- support website security; and
- ensure that the website operates as designed.
The cookie does not contain your name, email address or telephone number.
The corresponding server-side record may contain technical and navigation information, including an IP address.
Where you have allowed advertising measurement, the server-side record may also be associated with an advertising click identifier. That optional use does not take place until you have given permission.
Other cookies that start with here4 or h4
Provider: Here4Insurance / Latitude60 Ltd
Type: First-party essential cookie
Duration: Up to seven days
We may use other first-party cookies with names beginning here4 or h4 where they are needed to operate a requested website function, maintain essential navigation or session state, remember privacy choices, prevent invalid or duplicate requests, or make sure the correct page or version of a page is served to you.
We do not use these cookies for optional analytics, advertising measurement, or tracking unless we have separately obtained any consent required by law and described that use in this policy.
PHPSESSID
Provider: Here4Insurance / website hosting system
Type: First-party essential cookie
Duration: for the duration of your website visit
This cookie supports core PHP session functions and enables the website to maintain information required while pages and website functions are being used.
It is not used by us for advertising measurement.
_lscache_vary
Provider: Here4Insurance / LiteSpeed
Type: First-party essential caching cookie
Duration: for the duration of your website visit
This cookie helps the website’s caching system determine which version of a page should be supplied. It prevents an inappropriate cached version from being displayed and supports the correct operation of the website.
It is not used by us to measure advertising conversions.
5. Advertising click identifiers
An advertising click identifier is not necessarily a cookie.
It is normally an identifier added to the landing-page address when someone follows an online advert. Examples include:
- a Google Click ID;
- a Microsoft Click ID; and
- a Meta advertising click identifier.
The identifier is initially received as part of the website address or request.
6. Information reported to advertising platforms
Where permission has been given, we may report a conversion to:
- Google Ads;
- Microsoft Advertising; or
- Meta Ads.
The report may contain:
- the relevant advertising click identifier;
- the conversion action or type;
- the conversion date and time; and
- a conversion value and currency where one has been configured.
We do not send the platform your:
- name;
- postal address;
- email address;
- telephone number;
- insurance application answers; or
- end-user IP address
through this advertising-measurement process. When you enter this information, you are giving it to our quote partners, who do not share this information with us.
7. Advertising tags and pixels
For the server-side advertising measurement described in this policy, we do not use a Google Ads conversion tag, Microsoft UET tag or Meta Pixel to record the conversion in your browser.
8. Our advertising partners
Google receives the Google advertising click identifier and limited conversion information where you have permitted measurement relating to a Google advert.
Please read How Google uses data from businesses that use its services.
Microsoft
Microsoft receives the Microsoft advertising click identifier and limited conversion information where you have permitted measurement relating to a Microsoft advert.
Please read the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
Meta
Meta receives the relevant advertising click identifier and limited conversion information where you have permitted measurement relating to a Meta advert.
Please read the Meta Privacy Policy.
9. Managing your choice
You can allow or reject advertising measurement through the notice displayed on the website.
You can subsequently review or change your choice through the Privacy choices link in the website footer.
Withdrawing permission does not disable the essential session cookies because they are required to operate the website. It stops their future use in connection with optional advertising measurement.
If you use browser settings to block all cookies, parts of the website may not operate correctly and quotation-link or reminder functions may fail.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if we change:
- the cookies used on the website;
- their purposes or durations;
- our advertising platforms;
- our conversion-measurement process; or
- applicable legal requirements.
The date at the top identifies the latest version.
11. Contacting us
